Created by Katie Cappiello, ‘Grand Army‘ is a contemporary coming of age story that attempts to defy social and cultural norms by addressing issues such as bullying, sexual assault and racism. In this Netflix original series, five teenagers attend Brooklyn’s Grand Army High School. After its premiere in 2020, the show earned positive reviews from critics and viewers alike.
The show’s banal clichés and misplaced ambition were not ignored by critics, but its usual flamboyance and honesty were praised. Odley Jean, who reprises her role from the Broadway musical, is the star of the show. Fans are ready to see their favourite characters again after the liberating finale of the first season. Grand Army Season 2 Plot-
To be honest, it’s hard not to desire more after the intentionally tense finale of Season 1. Sid receives a call from Harvard while Dom prepares for a key event in her life. Meanwhile, Leila and Omar get together, Joey confronts Tim about the abuse, and Tim screams in agony when confronted about the incident.
Grand Army’s” first season finale is loud and clear in its declaration of uniqueness, giving the show a liberated feel. Finally, Jay and Leila stand up to racism and Joey is given the opportunity to share about her experience in a safe environment. It’s easy to see how the characters have grown and changed since the story began.
