The Lake County Sheriff’s Canine Boomer and sheriff’s deputies found three juveniles who ran away from a residential facility in Lake Villa early on Sunday morning. The Lake Villa Police Department asked for help from Lake County Sheriff’s Deputy Kilpatrick and his dog, Boomer.
Three young people went missing around 4 a.m. on Sunday, and the police were looking for them. The three people went missing from a residential facility on Grand Avenue in Lake Villa. The sheriff’s office said they were not dressed for the weather.

Kilpatrick and Boomer saw two of the young animals while they were coming to help, but they both ran away. Boomer started to look for them. At 8:30 a.m., he found them in a wooded area. They were both very cold.
The sheriff’s office said that patrol deputies found the third child in a wooded area about half a mile from the other two. The sheriff’s office also said that all of the young people had been sent back to safe places.
