WAREHAM, MASS. (WHDH) – According to the State Police, a single-car accident in Wareham resulted in the death of a young woman who was 16 years old.
According to what they claimed, state troopers stationed at the Bourne Barracks responded to a report of a crash involving a single vehicle that occurred on Route 495 in Wareham just before 11 p.m. on Monday. An initial examination reveals that a 2008 Toyota Sienna was travelling south when, for reasons that are still being investigated, the vehicle veered into the grass median, drove down an embankment, and hit a tree.

The inquiry is still in its early stages. At the site, it was found that the single occupant of the car, a teenage girl from Raynham, had passed away as a result of her injuries. Her name will not be made public by the police.
The investigation into the collision is still being carried out by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police, with help from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the State Police Detective Unit for Plymouth County.
