Three Miles From the Grisly Idaho College Murders Weeks Earlier a Dog Was Skinned and Filleted. Several weeks before four University of Idaho students were discovered stabbe fatally, a dog was found skinned and gutted, leading some residents to speculate that the two crimes may be related.
According to the Daily Mail, Buddy, a 12-year-old miniature Australian shepherd, was discovered skinned head to tail on October 21 after being allowed out in the Moscow, Idaho, backyard by his owners, Jim and Pam Colbert.
Pam, Buddy’s 78-year-old owner, told the news site, “We called the sheriff’s station, and the supervisor indicated that Buddy had been skinned. “It resembled a deer that had been hunted.
He was skinned when they cut him around the neck. He only had the skin on the rest of his body; his little legs and face were covered in fur. The dead dog was discovered three miles from the off-campus home where Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Madison Mogen, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, and Xana Kernodle, 20, were bizarrely murdered on November 13.

The quadruple homicide has not been connected to Buddy’s death by the authorities, and they did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the topic on Monday.
According to Pam, Buddy had been sliced up like a fish had been filleted: “We discovered his collar, but we didn’t find the pelt.” The Daily Mail received confirmation from a Latah County Sheriff’s Deputy that Buddy’s murderer was a person.
Pam referred to the quadruple homicide and the loss of her dog as “everyone being nervous and scared.” “This is a horrible, nasty thing.” After Buddy’s passing, the couple, who have spent the last 39 years in their house on 10 acres, began locking their doors for the first time.
Pam reported that Buddy did not return after she let him out on October 21. She added that Buddy was let out, and she assumed that someone was waiting there. Even though Bud never leaves the yard, this person grabs him. Later that evening, Jim, 73, and his pals began looking for the dog and discovered the gruesome object.
“His other side appeared to have been filleted as if they were going to eat him. Pam stated, “It was awful, horrific. Police claimed they have not yet identified any suspects or people of interest in the deaths of the Idaho students during a press briefing on Sunday.
The remaining roommates, the man two victims called before the killings, and the driver who took two of the murdered students home have all been ruled out. According to Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt, investigators were scouring the woods Sunday near the King Road residence where the students were attacked between three and four in the morning, probably with a single knife.
She claimed that some of them had defensive wounds and that they may have been ambushed as they slept. A white Chevrolet automobile parked outside the house was observed being searched by investigators. The police first claimed that the assault on the students was “targeted” and that there was no immediate danger to the neighbourhood.
Since then, they have withdrawn the statement and urged the public to exercise caution as long as the attacker is still at large. Additionally, authorities have not yet determined a motive. The FBI and Idaho State Police are assisting the Moscow Police Department in conducting the investigation.
