Smoke from wildfires in Canada continues to travel into the United States, making this morning in the Ohio Valley particularly cloudy. Nova Scotian fires triggered weekend air quality advisories in the United States, and a forest fire in New Jersey compounded the problem.
The flames in New Jersey are now under control. So far this year, 1,981 fires throughout Canada have scorched almost 3 million acres. The Associated Press reports that while one fire has been contained, another is still burning as of Sunday.
